Small Businesses grow when they learn
I was so excited that my intuition that training is useful for small businesses was finally validated by the economist David McKenzie, a former training skeptic at the World Bank. Here's a brief summary of his September 2020 meta analysis of studies that look at the impact of business training on profitability and returns in small businesses finally shows that there is value in training, "Reassessing the evidence for “business training doesn’t work." Overall sales of trained businesses went up 4.7% and profitability about 10% and 15% when customized. Today, growth is tougher and tougher, and to stay profitable, small businesses need to think about profitability first. So this is especially relevant.
